The scale of the work is measurable. The dignity behind it matters more.

YESJ works across education, employability, youth formation, and direct community response. These numbers offer a grounded view of that reach.

Why YESJ exists

Young people need more than access. They need accompaniment.

YES-J was born in 2016 at Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, as a response to the growing gap between youth potential and social exclusion.

We are not just about delivering programs. We are about walking with young people as they move from exclusion toward dignity. Our work is rooted in the Jesuit tradition of "cura personalis" - care for the whole person.

Discover our story

In the heart of the Telugu states, many young people are still blocked by poverty, discrimination, weak schooling, and low confidence in spoken English. Those barriers are not small setbacks. They shape who gets to dream safely and who is told to settle.

What blocks youth

Economic insecurity, social exclusion, fragile education systems, and a lack of mentors who can walk with them over time.

What YESJ does

The organisation connects skill development, scholarships, youth formation, and community life so that support does not stop at one workshop or one season.

Our core conviction

The Power of Three YESes

Our philosophy is built on three fundamental affirmations that every young person deserves to hear and believe.

Read the philosophy
YES 01

YES to Your Potential.

You are not a deficit to be managed, but a person with agency and imagination.

YES 02

YES to Your Community.

You are called to serve others and lead change where you live.

YES 03

YES to Your Future.

You deserve a practical path to a career, a calling, and a dignified life.

Ravi Kumar, a professional driver trained through YESJ
Driving and mechanic training

After dropping out after class 10, I thought daily wage labour would be my future. YESJ's driving programme changed that. I now earn a steady income and I am building my family's first pucca house.

Sweatha, a Scholar Support Programme beneficiary

Graduation felt impossible until SSP said yes. I now work in media, and the biggest change was not only financial support. YESJ believed in me when no one else did.
